Grand Canyon District Ranger Lisa Hendy was the keynote speaker for Upper School and Middle School Chapels on April 21 as part of the Cushman Guest Lecture Series.

Hendy is a native Chattanoogan and over the years she has worked in Yosemite, Rocky Mountain, Arches, and Grand Canyon National Parks. In 2019, she was named the first female chief ranger at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and returned to the Grand Canyon in October.

The Cushman Guest Lecture Series was established in 2002 by generous donors in honor of retired faculty member Bill Cushman ’59
